Individual therapy

Therapy can be an effective tool in helping individuals move towards healing and wellness. Therapy does not exclusively mean resolving childhood trauma. People also seek out therapy to examine and change unhelpful patterns, learn better survival skills, or find ways to live a life of intention and purpose. It is okay to not know what you want out of therapy-- part of our work together is to identify what you want and need, and to develop a pathway forward. It is also normal to start off with one idea and find that it changes over the course of time.
I work with individuals aged 13-65 who have a wide range of life stories, experiences, and identities. I have extensive experience working with a broad range of symptoms and conditions including: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma/Post-Traumatic Stress, Grief and Loss, Life Transitions, Identity Formation and Transition, and Performance/Perfectionism. I draw mostly from Attachment, Feminist, and Polyvagal theories. I have received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement-Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Lifespan Integration (LI), among others.
I have a special interest in working with youth and young adults of color who are navigating their own immigrant or generational narrative. I am curious about the family immigration story and exploring the complexities of straddling two cultures by exploring how those individuals navigate cultural differences, similarities, resilience, challenges, and identity formation. Through our work together, it is my hope that my clients of color can be seen and heard. To schedule an appointment or a 20 minute meet-and-greet, click below.
Parent/caregiver support

I can attest through my own lived experience that parenting can be hard. I can also say that parenting can bring tremendous joy as well. Sometimes in the middle of a crisis, or mired in longstanding patterns (oftentimes generational), it can be challenging to see the paradoxes and dialectics that come with parenting/caregiving. My approach is collaborative and supportive and draws from Attachment Theory and elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Clinical supervision/consultation

Supervision has provided some of the most profound moments in my own development as a clinician. I have often used supervision sessions to get support, validation, different perspectives, and accountability from my supervisor for my own career learning goals and objectives. I would like to share this type of experience with other therapists honing their craft. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker and a Washington State Approved Supervisor. I will soon offer individual clinical supervision for Washington State Licensure, and may offer group supervision in the future.
